This is a Dutch movie that is supposed to be based on the life of Klaus Donkers, a real life criminal. The plot for this movie is a little convoluted but basically Klaus is asked by his friend Annet to murder his business partner (Hugo) as he killed Annet’s brother. Klaus is hesitant because the murder doesn’t coincide with his own business interests but when Hugo goes to the USA, to care for his ailing mother, the relationship between Klaus and Annet deepens and he reconsiders his position. The movie has a soft drug subtext and is quite dark and slow paced. The dialogue is taut though and carries the intensity of the situation that Klaus finds himself in.
