This is a documentary about 'The Machinist'. The main character, Trevor is a machinist who suffers from fatigue as a result of not sleeping in a year. Consequently, Trevor's physical and mental health suffer as well. Slowly, Trevors peers choose to stay distant from the machinist and later shun him completely when Trevor loses his arm in a shop accident. Over time Trevor begins to question his peers' actions which soon grows into paranoia. Trevor finds himself accusing his co-workers of plotting against him to have him fired or possibly even killed. These thoughts come when he finds cryptic notes in his apartment and then learns a co-worker involved in his accident never actually existed. At this point, Trevor feels the need to investigate for himeself so that he is able to sleep for once. This movie is a thriller that keeps the audience on the edge of their seat as they learn with the main character Trevor
