While in Africa running from a subpeona from the United States government to testify in federal hearings on the disbanding of the Counter-Terrorism Unit, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) comes under fire from anti-governmental forces looking to forcibly recruit the young charges at the school where he is working. The thrust of the action comes from Bauer and the teacher at the school (Robert Carlyle) hiding and fighting back against these forces, ultimately getting the children to safety while the rest of the country comes under control of the facist forces. This story leads "24" up to its seventh season as a bridge between the sixth and seventh, due to the long writer's stike in 2007.
